How to find the right habits to achieve any goal.

Habit Visor pt. 2, Habits Bring Goals to Life

You are what you eat.

You’re also what you do day in and day out.

That’s the core premise of James Clear’s seminal Atomic Habits. And Habit Visor.

It was my half marathon prep that helped me make the connection.

When you try to run a half marathon, you can go onto Runna or dozens of other apps that will tell you what to do literally every day between now and the race. Personalised to your fitness, your intended speed, and your schedule. Run 5km, do some strength training, or take a well needed rest. You get the picture.

But, say, try to get a new job, and how do you figure out what to do? How do you establish what you’re doing is enough? If you’re lucky, maybe a Reddit thread from somebody who went through the same journey. There’s still going to be massive differences.

I made Habit Visor with the idea that whatever goal you have, there are habits that can make it come to life. You provide the goal, and Habit Visor suggests your first set of habits to get started. And as you start to build up repetitions and a higher baseline comfort zone, Habit Visor helps you ramp up the difficulty with even more ambitious habits until your goals are in reach.
